How can I style my straight hair to make it have big, soft curls?

My hair is very straight, but I want to give it some volume and style by giving it big, soft curls. How can I do this?

invest in a large curling iron and curl your hair peice by peice....very small sections that way it will have more curls which means more volume. After every section you curl, hairspray it, I know that people with very straight hair have issues curling their hair and it falls out easy. Lots and lots of hairspray!

I have the same type of hair. I just use a wide curling iron made for big curls. I curl with the iron almost vertical to make long tresses

wash it, blow dry it straight and divide it into thin sections

spray each section wwith TREsemme curl activator and using a large barrel hot curling iron, curl each section till u finish them all. separate the curls with ur hand and spray with a nice holding spray

r u crazy!!people r dying to have straight hair and u want to turn it to curls?anyways....the grass is always greener on the opposite side..go to a good hair stylist.get some suggestions from the styling book..and then show it to her and get ur work done.
