I would try starting from the ends, with leave in conditioner.... but then again, some hair stylist say that it is better to untangle dry. Always start from ends and work your way up, use a soft bristle brush.

good luck.

if you have tangled hair...... the best thing to do is to use conditioner, the conditioner that really helps is Aveda thats the products name. now you cant buy it in stores like target or publix 0r nething but you can get it in some malls..... the store is called AVEDA. so look it up wherevever you live and go there and you will have detangled hair in less then 2 showers.

Buy detangler. Pantene makes a good one. If it's so bad that you think even a detangler wouldn't work buy some hair oil at the drugstore (carrot oil, jojoba oil, anything like that) and put it in a plastic spray bottle and saturate your hair with it then start to come through gently. Whatever you decide to use, just be patient and take your time and it will turn out fine.

wash your hair and put in a good amount of conditioner, using a wide tooth comb carefully comb thru starting at the ends and working to the roots. It might be easier to have someone help you with it. Then rinse.
