I need a party hairstyle for my LONG hair?

i'm going to a party on saturday! and i've got a big problems! My hair is too long, it goes where the waist is, the problem is is that i always have it up; either curly or straight! but i want to do something really nice and special for my long brown hair now!

I appriciate every comments although i really want to see what the hairdressers/professionals have to say because i've never cut my hair and i really want to see what they have to say about hairstyles and what hair mousse/gel/spray is good for me because it isnt shiny or soft only when i take a shower, so i take a shower often even though i know its not good.

However, as i said i appriciate what everyone says(don't mean to be rude)

cut it so it just covers your boobs layers and all, cute side swept bangs, and then curl it but not to amke it curly. curl it ot make it wavy. like this:

well if i were you i would get a big fat curler and get aussie hair spray and when you are curling get the hair sray and sray it on the iron as your hair is on it. This techneque will be really pretty with long locks!
